AHA BLS – CPR for the Healthcare Provider
September 26 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
BLS – AHA’s BLS Course (CPR)trains participants to recognize several life-threatening emergencies promptly, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilation and provide early use of an AED including team dynamics. In this four-hour Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. This course prepares students to recognize and provide care for cardiac arrest and choking involving adults, children, and infants. Combining instruction and hands-on learning, students have the opportunity to practice and demonstrate skill competency required for certification. This course is a two-year certification recommended for nurses, doctors, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), nursing students, lifeguards, medical office staff, and anyone required to have or is interested in the certification. The course material has been updated to reflect new science in the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.
